Finally, after more than a year since our last climb on Mustagh Ata in Xinjiang, China, we are departing to climb Cho Oyu in Tibet.
At 8,201m, this mountain will be our final training climb before our Everest attempt next year and it will also mark a new milestone in our journey towards Everest.
We are certainly feeling very excited to be embarking on this 2-mth long expedition and do check back this space for more updates about our climb!
The Singapore Women’s Everest Team formed in 2004 and aimed to send the first team of Singaporean women to the world’s highest peak. Following a rigorous 5 year training schedule, we successfully reached the summit of Mt. Everest in May 2009, placing 5 Singapore women on the top of the world.
