the olympics is not good for my health.

i’ve been sleeping insane hours – catching the women’s tri till 3am the other night, the men’s 3m spring board dive the night before, rushing home like a mad women from stairs training last night to catch usain bolt’s 200m dash, following the pole vault and basketball way into the wee hours of the morning. and not forgetting the gymnastics and swimming events the week before. and the women’s marathon. and the men’s. and the triple jumps. and the high jumps. and discus. and hammer. and the hurdles. the only event i don’t follow is probably football and even then, i look out for brazil playing.

so i survive on 4, 5hrs of sleep every night these days and coupled with training and work and what i can make of a social life, i think i’m an olympian in my own rights.

in other news, the ace adventure challenge is coming up! i’ll be taking part and the hunt is on for an off-road bike. i was desperate enough to call leong chee mun in the middle of stairs training to borrow his $10,000 bike (if you’re familiar with my biking skills, you’ll get this joke). but alas, his is a road bike and this puts me once again on the prowl for a mechanical animal to ride for the race…
